The maintenance and care of stereo microscopes mainly include cleaning, moisture-proof, dust-proof, shock-proof and other aspects. The specific steps and precautions are as follows:

Cleaning:

Optical components: Use professional cleaning tools, such as a balloon, lens paper, dust-free cloth, etc. First blow away the dust with a balloon, and then use the lens paper to dip a small amount of lens cleaning fluid to gently wipe the surface of the lens. Be careful not to use ordinary paper towels or cloth to avoid scratching the lens.

Body: You can wipe it with a soft dry cloth or a slightly damp cotton cloth to remove dust and stains.

Optical path system: Use a balloon to blow away dust, and never use alcohol or other solutions to clean the inside of the optical path system.

Stage: Wipe the stage with a dust-free cloth to remove sample residues.

Moisture-proof:

The storage environment should be kept dry and the humidity should be less than 60% to avoid moisture causing mold on the optical components. You can put some desiccant, such as silica gel desiccant, in the cabinet where the microscope is stored.
If the microscope is not used for a long time, it is best to cover it with a moisture-proof cover to prevent moisture damage.

Dustproof:

After use, it should be covered with a dust cover in time to prevent dust from entering.
Keep the environment clean and the operator should wear clean work clothes.
Shockproof:

The stereo microscope should be stored in a stable place to avoid collision and vibration. It should be handled with care and operated gently.

Regular inspection and calibration:

Regularly check the various parts of the microscope, such as screws, gears, etc., to ensure that they are in good working condition. If any problems are found, contact a professional for repair in time.
Perform calibration regularly to ensure measurement accuracy. This may require professional operation, but users should also pay attention to the imaging situation and consider calibration when the image quality is found to be degraded.

Storage environment:

The stereo microscope should be stored in a dry, ventilated, dust-free environment, avoiding direct sunlight, high temperature and humidity.
The ideal storage temperature is around 20℃ and the relative humidity is less than 60%.
