The xsp-121B is built for students learning basic life science processes in grade 4 to senior high school students preparing for post-secondary education in the sciences.
It features all the flexible design features students need, like:
An integrated double-layered mechanical stage that includes full graduated X/Y movement (30mm x 70mm) with coaxial coarse/fine focus controls.
High-quality rack and pinion mechanics for longer life and coaxial focus controls for easy focusing.
An Abbe 1.25 N. A condenser with an Iris diaphragm for longer life and for optimal adjustments.
A binocular microscope head inclined at 30 degrees to make constant viewing more ergonomic and posture-friendly.
A head that rotates through 360 degrees for flexible viewing positions and easy collaboration.
Bright built-in LED illumination that offers variable intensity.
A rack stop to prevent slide breakage.
A slip clutch control to prevent slide breakage.
We built the xsp-121B microscope with young students in mind. So, we packed it with features like coaxial controls that enable students to move the slide without looking up from the eyepiece, keeping students constantly engaged with the specimen under their scope. We fit this student microscope with the same optics that professional microscopes use on a day-to-day basis:
Two wide field WF10x eyepieces
Four parcentered, parfocal achromatic objective lenses (4x, 40x spring, 100x spring oil immersion)
Four magnification levels of 40x, 100x, 400x and 1,000x
… So when students move on to studying microscopy in post-secondary institutions or pursuing a scientific career, they're already equipped with the hard skills they need to thrive.
